A New Start
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old is gone, the new is here!” II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV Advent is upon us. A wondrous time of anticipation! God’s promises of old fulfilled in His Son, born of a virgin, come to us in the flesh! I think of how all the decorations can make old things look new again. Given a different look, viewed in a different light, we see something we may not have seen before. God views us in a new light too. He views us in the Light that Jesus shone on us when He came to us, died for us, then conquered death for us, rising on Easter morn! We may have time when we feel we have gotten stale in our faith. God calls us to renew ourselves in Him through His sacraments & reminds us the new has come! Advent is a great time to reflect on shedding the old, and shining in His Light!
